If you got a new Mac and have no idea on how to transfer your iTunes music library from your old computer to the new one, don`t worry. All you need is to follow these instructions: 1- Open iTunes on your OLD computer. Click on File > Backup to Disc.2- Select "Back up your entire iTunes library and playlists" and click on "Back up". 3- Insert a blank DVD or blank CD in your computer's disc drive. If your iTunes library is big, iTunes may request more discs as it records the songs, so you better keep a few more blank discs at hand. To avoid confusion, you should identify all discs using a permanent marker pen. 4- When the back up process is over, insert the first backup disc into the NEW Mac's disc drive. 5- A popup window will appear. Select "Overwrite existing files" and click the "Restore" button. Now you just need to wait as iTunes import all your music library to your new Mac. |
