iTunes has a very interesting feature, which is the possibility of showing the album cover of the song currently been played. This feature allows you to look for a specific music in your library by browsing a list of CD covers, as if it was a CD rack.

It is possible to configure iTunes to automatically download album covers, but that requires you to be registered at the iTunes Music Store. An easier alternative is to use Fetch Art, a free script that works quite well. To get album covers with Fetch Art just follow these instructions:

1- Go to Fetch Art web site, download it and install it.

2- Open iTunes (if it was already open, close it and open it again). Use your left mouse button to select the songs you'll try to get album artworks to. To select many tracks at once, press Command(apple key) as you click each one of them, or hold the SHIFT key while you click on the first and the last item (all tracks between them will be automatically selected). You can also press the Command (apple) and A keys to select all song listed on the screen.

3- Open the "scripts" menu (look for a small black icon to the right of 'Window' menu) and click on "Fetch Art".

4- Fetch Art will open a window with a list of all songs you have selected. The list will be scanned, and then the corresponding album covers (if found) will be downloaded (obviously, you need an Internet connection for that).

5- When all covers have finished downloading, click on one of the listed tracks and press the Command and A keys to select them all again. Then click the "Copy it to you iTunes" button. All covers will be copied to your iTunes library. Upon finishing , close the Fetch Art window.

iTunes "Cover Flow View" mode. You can switch between different view options using the three buttons located at the top of the window, to the right.

In order to see the album artworks you have downloaded, open the 'View" menu and choose "Cover Flow View", then use your mouse trackball to browse your library as if it was a CD rack.
