Warning! Not all phones are compatible with iSync. To check your phone's compatibility take a look at this web site. Mac OS X comes with iSync, a very interesting application capable of syncing your phone's contacts and calendar of appointments with Mac OS X's Address Book and iCal. You can do this in two ways: by USB cable connection or Bluetooth wireless connection. If you mobile phone has no Bluetooth support, but comes with an USB connector, do as follows: 1- Turn the phone on and connect it to your computer through the USB cable. 2- Open the Applications folder and double-click the iSync icon to open it. 3- Click on the "Devices" menu, then click on "Add device" (you need to do this only once). iSync will search for new devices, and your phone should be listed. Double-click it do add it. 4- If everything went fine, you'll see your phone in the iSync window. Left-click it to show the settings window. Check "Contacts" e "Calendars". 5- Click the "Sync" button to start the process. iSync will transfer all contacts and calendars from your phone to the computer, and vice-versa. If you cell phone has Bluetooth support (and so does your Mac), follow these instructions: 1- Turn the phone on and make sure Bluetooth is enabled. 2- Open the "System Preferences" panel, click on the "Bluetooth" icon and select the "Devices" tab. 3- Click the "Set up new device" button. Your phone will be detected and listed. Follow the instructions on screen to pair your phone with the computer (you'll need to enter a sequence of numbers and repeat it on your phone). Don't worry, you need to do this only once. 4- Open the Applications folder and double-click the iSync icon to open it. 5- If everything went fine, you'll see your phone in the iSync window. If not, click on the "Devices" menu, then click on "Add device". Left-click your phone's icon to show the settings window. Check "Contacts" e "Calendars". 6- Click the "Sync" button to start the process.
