To restart your computer, click on the apple icon on the upper left corner of the screen and choose "Restart". You will see a popup window showing a 2 minutes regressive count. To restart immediately, press ENTER on your keyboard.
By now, you may be asking yourself: well, that was a lot easier to do on Windows, wasn?t it? All I had to do was to push the on/off button on the computer case, and the system would shutdown by itself... Well, that's true, you're right. Turning off a Mac is not as simple as turning off a PC... But there is a trick which can make things easier: if you have an Apple keyboard, you can turn off your Mac by pressing simultaneously the Control and Eject keys for about one second, and then pushing ENTER. (Note: the eject key is the one with a small triangle, on the upper right corner of the keyboard). |
